KIKIITO is the eponymous brand of designer Kiki Ito, whose work is informed by over 20 years of experience in leather craftsmanship.

Raised in Japan and influenced by her father, a contemporary landscape architect, Kiki developed an early sensitivity to space, proportion, and the conceptual clarity of contemporary art and architecture. This perspective continues to inform her approach — where simplicity carries depth, and each design is guided by intention rather than excess.

Kiki began her career apprenticing under a couture handbag artisan, refining a strong technical foundation before working with established heritage brands in the UK. This experience shaped a practice grounded in both design and making, allowing for a distinct level of control over construction, material, and form.

Today, KIKIITO is developed through House of Ito, a London-based creative atelier where design and production remain closely connected. Each piece is realised through a considered approach to materials and process, with small-scale production and ongoing development ensuring both quality and continuity. The studio also supports selected collaborations, extending its expertise across design development, prototyping, and specialised craft.

My designs are shaped by my journey between Japan and London — a dialogue between cultures expressed through design and craftsmanship.

With quiet intensity, I translate the depth of my emotions into form and material. Every creation is designed not only to function, but to carry a sense of presence — to exist alongside the individual, accompanying them through different moments, and quietly holding part of their journey.
