ABOUT

KIKIITO is the eponymous brand of London-based designer and leather artisan Kiki Ito.

Raised in Japan and influenced by her father, a contemporary landscape architect, Kiki developed a deep appreciation for the simplicity and conceptual depth of contemporary art and architecture. This philosophy shapes her limited collections — each piece designed to be authentic, intentional, and deeply personal.

With over 20 years of experience in the leather industry, Kiki began her career apprenticing under Harry Mattes, a leading couture handbag artisan whose clients included Bruce Oldfield, Jasper Conran, Anna Valentine, and members of the Royal Family. She refined her craftsmanship before joining esteemed heritage brands such as Globe-Trotter.

Today, every KIKIITO bag and accessory is meticulously handmade in London at House of ITO — Kiki’s own creative studio. The space is home not only to the brand’s collection but also to its bespoke services, limited production, and design consulting, Here, traditional craftsmanship is honoured, material waste is minimised through thoughtful methods, and creative collaboration is welcomed.

“Each design is shaped by my personal journey — from Japan to London — a fusion of East and West expressed through craftsmanship. My work honours the quiet strength and balanced simplicity of traditional Japanese aesthetics, blending minimalism with intention, and restraint with confidence. I want each bag to reflect the individuality of its wearer — to quietly exude personality and presence.”
